Fresh Train Spotted on Argonauts Legend

FRESH | Mike O’Shea, Toronto Argonauts legend and current special teams coordinator, came to talk to our Corporate Social Responsibility class on March 30th, 2011. My professor gave him a Fresh Train t-shirt as a gift for coming and I would like to thank him for taking the time to take a picture in it. Hope he digs it!

Starbucks B-Side by Hiroshi Fujiwara

FRESH | “Starbucks has just opened up a new concept store in Tokyo’s upscale Omotesando fashion district. Designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara, who is often referred to as ‘the godfather of Harajuku’, the two-story store is called ‘b-side’ and has a unique layout that’s unlike any other Starbucks location in the city. Offering a selection of fashion and design books for customers to browse, the store also plans on selling mugs and limited edition goods available exclusively to b-side.” – Hypebeast.

Mary Kreis • Tour of Hope

MY LIFE | Today, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Dr. Kreis as well as listen to her speak to one of my classes at Brock University. She was very well spoken and a true inspiration! “Dr. Kreis was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army’s Medical Service Corps while completing her bachelor’s degree. She completed her master’s degree while serving on active duty in the Army. After having ridden a bicycle cross-country while pregnant, Dr. Kreis was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma. After having two surgeries while pregnant to remove the cancer, her daughter, Viva (for “live long”), was born healthy in January 2005. Before Viva was born, she had “ridden” more than 4,000 miles with Mom! Because of her connection with cancer, Dr. Kreis was one of 25 cyclists selected to ride in the 2005 Tour of Hope – a cross-country bike ride with Lance Armstrong designed to bring attention to the need for clinical trials in cancer research.” – Biography.
