Da-Damn You The Shit

“Da-damn you the shit, and I’ll rip my heart out and hand you this shit. And I don’t really know how to handle this shit, but tonight, it’s moonlight and candles and shit.” – Lil Wayne

We Day 2010 Performers

FRESH | Here are some songs which were performed at We Day today by K’Naan, Greyson Chance, and Down with Webster. There are no great quality videos from their actual performances so I just decided to post the songs that they sang. By the way, if you haven’t heard of Greyson Chance yet, I suggest you start looking him up cause I can undoubtedly say that he’s only going to get bigger and better. The kid knows how to perform and get 18,000+ youth on their feet, clapping and singing along! Check these videos out below.

Free the Children’s We Day 2010

MY LIFE | I just wanted to give Mark and Craig Kielburger, founders of Free the Children a huge shout for a truly amazing #WeDay at the Air Canada Centre. 18,000+ youth filled the ACC between 8am-2:30pm today to enjoy speeches from Alexandre Bilodeau (Olympic Gold Medalist), Robin Wiszowaty (Writer of “My Maasai Life”), Betty Williams (Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Author and Activist), Duncan Penn, Ben Nemtin, and Dave Lingwood (The Buried Life), Spencer West (Me to We Motivational Speaker), Cherie Blair (Wife of Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Tony Blair, and Best-Selling Author) and Jacob Hoggard (Lead Singer for Hedley). Between all these amazing speakers, there were great performances by Down with Webster, Greyson Chance, Rocky Dwahuni, and K’Naan. So all in all, it was a fantastic day to be volunteering at and I left there truly inspired and ready to book my next trip during the summer of 2011 to either Kenya or India.
